There is something undeniably magical about a mutt. Maybe it's their mysterious past, their wonderfully unique mix of features, or the way they love with their whole hearts. Every mutt has a story, and every story deserves to be celebrated.
As we celebrate National Mutt Day, we're looking back on a few of our favorite stories from the past year and a half, stories that remind us of what we've believed from the very beginning: every mutt belongs.

Mutts Across the Globe
Over the past year, we've had the privilege of supporting mutts from all walks of life and all corners of the world. One journey took us to Turks and Caicos alongside Isabel Klee and Hayden Cohen, where we experienced firsthand the incredible work being done to care for the island's beloved Potcakes. The trip became even more meaningful when our own founders fell in love, and adopted a Potcake of their own. Rocky is the newest member of The Mutt Dog family and a daily reminder that rescue changes lives on both ends of the leash.
Our love for mutts also brought us to Puerto Rico, where we partnered with Miracles for Satos to help spay and neuter more than 100 satos—the local name for the island's beloved street dogs. Together, we not only helped fund the initiative but also supported the on-the-ground effort to safely capture, transport, and care for each dog before and after surgery. It's the kind of collaborative work that helps reduce overpopulation while improving the lives of dogs and the communities that care for them.
Back home, we continued building community through Pups in the Park, bringing together rescue organizations, adopters, local businesses, and dog lovers in cities including New York, Chicago, Seattle, and San Francisco. Watching people gather to celebrate dogs, support rescues, and meet adoptable pups has been one of the most rewarding parts of our year, and we're excited to continue expanding the line into even more cities across the country.
We headed to Las Vegas for DoggieMania, where we partnered with Sheamus Farrelly and Isabella Revilla to celebrate rescue dogs, raise awareness, and connect with even more members of the rescue community.
We rode along with Casa Transport, driving 53 rescue dogs to their second chance across state lines. One unforgettable passenger was Ollie, a deaf puppy pulled from the municipal shelter in Nashville and made the journey to Illinois, where his chances of finding a forever home drastically increased.
One story we can’t forget is Jiffy’s, the brave puppy who fought and survived parvovirus. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we were able to help fundraise for her lifesaving treatment.Â

If there's one thing this past year has taught us, it's that the rescue community is mighty.
Whether it's rescuers, transport volunteers, veterinarians, fosters, photographers, trainers, adoption coordinators, donors, or everyday dog lovers, everyone plays a part. We come from different backgrounds, live in different places, and support different organizations but we're united by one common love: mutts. No single rescue can do it alone. Real change happens when people collaborate, share resources, celebrate one another's successes, and show up in whatever way they can.Â
This National Mutt Day, we're celebrating every spotted face, scruffy beard, floppy ear, curly tail, and every human who played a part in helping them find their forever homes. Thank you to every rescue partner, volunteer, adopter, supporter, and member of The Mutt Dog community who has helped us make an impact!Â
