About Us

REP THE MUTT DOG, SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SHELTERS

The Mutt Dog community was created to help get more dogs rescued & provide support to shelters across the world. Whether your pup is mutt or purebred, stories of rescue and newfound family remind us to hold our dogs closer and be grateful for their health, happiness, and unwavering love. The Mutt Dog allows us to pay forward some of that pure and true love they give to us to our rescue and shelter partners.

5% of every purchase goes straight to The Mutt Dog Impact Fund, which supports shelters, rescue organizations, and other essential non-profits serving dogs. You can help grow the impact of The Mutt Dog Impact Fund by participating in our crowdfunded philanthropic giving initiatives where 100% of all funds raised support our charitable partners.

Direct Support

Sometimes dogs who need support find us. Sometimes partners or members of our community have discovered a few dogs with medical needs that require urgent support. In these emergencies, we offer direct payment to veterinary hospitals providing the care that gives dogs the best chance for a healthy life and hopefully to adoption into their forever home

Sticks

Karla, a member of The Mutt Dog community in North Carolina discovered Sticks in the basement of an abandoned home. He had been chained up and sustained a life-threatening injury on his leg. We covered medical care with the Veterinary Surgical Center in Leesburg, Virginia, and Sticks, now named Bruno, found his forever home with his foster family!

Loretta

Madeleine, a member of The Mutt Dog community in Washington, D.C. witnessed a man leave Loretta in a parking lot, only to return and suggest calling animal services under the pretense that he had only just discovered her. Instead, Madeleine offered to take her to get medical care and once there, discovered internal bleeding and a broken femur. We covered medical care with Veterinarian Emergency Group in Georgetown, Washington, D.C., and Loretta (now named Scylla) has now found a loving home with her new owner, Kristen.
