Everyone loves an underdog! After Jonathan and Abby Weiner rescued their mutt Neptune in 2016, they wanted to bring home every dog in need of a forever family. As much as they wanted to make this happen, they knew it was impossible.

Their solution came on a visit to the beach when another tourist asked Jon where he’d bought his hat — a custom design featuring Neptune’s face. At that moment, Jon and Abby realized that while there were specific dogs representing brands, there was no brand that represented mutts, the global citizens of the canine world.

Jon and Abby wanted to change the lives of rescues and families as much as Neptune changed theirs. So even if they couldn’t take in every dog, they did the next best thing: setting up The Mutt Dog, their way of celebrating and supporting mutts and rescues — and the community that loves them.
